crafts
So now that Christmas is over I can post some of the crafts I created for gifts this year.
I finished with cutting out cardboard/scrap book peices of the states that we are from and little hearts from where we lived. I thought it was cute, and he liked it :)
ok so the first one i'm going to show is a picture frame I painted and gave to Jarrod as a gift, I got this frame at a thrift store
I also made a homemade snow globe, here's how to make it:
First you need a mason jar, distilled water, glycerin, glitter, and epoxy.
Once you have all of your supplies find what you want to put in the snow globe, small little ornaments I think would work best, i used little frogs which took awhile for them to stick. It also takes epoxy quite some time to dry, so for best results let it sit over night so that you know it's dry. once everything is all set and glued fill mason jar with distilled water, glycerin, and glitter, you only need a little bit of glycerin, it just helps prevent the glitter from falling too quickly.
and this is the final result. :)

love baking for Christmas
I just made this recipe and if I do say say they turned out really yummy :)
I found the recipe online so I thought, hey it's a Saturday so why not do some baking for Christmas,
Here's the recipe (the cool thing about this recipe is I didn't have to go to the store for any of the ingredients, I had everything right in my cupboard)
- 48 HERSHEY'S KISSES Brand Milk Chocolates
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup REESE'S Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Granulated sugar
Directions
- Heat oven to 375°F. Remove wrappers from chocolates.
- Beat shortening and peanut butter in large bowl until well blended. Add 1/3 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar; beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into peanut butter mixture.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar; place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately press a chocolate into center of each
cookie; cookie will crack around edges. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
About 4 dozen cookies.
Here's the site I got the recipe from, in case you want to check it out :) recipe website
I've actually made a lot of crafts lately, but I have to wait until after Christmas until I can post them, so i don't spoil the surprise for anyone :)

more crafts..
These are a few more things i've made since discovering pinterest.. I think my biggest thing is needing more patience with crafts. Especially since I really want to learn to knit/crochet, but it's harder than I thought and is requiring a lot of my patience. Hopefully over Christmas break i'll be able to actually learn.
So the first thing I made is a dry erase made out of an old picture frame lying around. You just find an old picture frame and put either a sheet of paper or in my case I used a piece of scrapbook paper and it was transformed into a cute "TO DO" dry erase board.

The second was one of those T-shirt scarves. I think next time I need to use a bigger shirt, that way I can double it, But I guess it's not so bad.
Here's a tutorial on how to make it : http://madethislovethis.com/made/tshirtscarf/
ok that is all, Bye :)

Spark of creativity
Ok, So i never keep up with any type of blog, and i'm sure I will slack on this one a little bit too but I will try my best to post and keep updated as much as possible, especially since this is a type of blog that I've never done before.
So lately I've been inspired by a website called pinterest.com, seriously the best site ever just FYI. But anyways what I want this blog to be is either ideas I've gotten from pinterest or ideas I've come up with by myself, i'll post pictures on what I've made/created.
Ok so for my first thing.. I found these dessert no bake oreo balls, and they looked so good I just had to try them.
Ingredients
Oreos (you're supposed to use a whole package, but i only wanted a few, so I used about 10 cookies)
Cream cheese (4oz)(depending on how many oreos you use, if you use a whole package use about 4oz)
Melting Chocolate
grind the oreos in a processor, mix well with cream cheese, form into little balls, put in freezer for 15 minutes, melt chocolate, then dip oreos in chocolate, and enjoy!
(it just came out of the oven, and i'm very eager to have some :) )
I also painted something yesterday, but I may have to wait until after Christmas to post because it's a gift for someone :)
The LORD is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation.
He is my God, and I will praise him,
my father’s God, and I will exalt him

So there's the first thing I made today, #2 compliments of my friend Jessica with her recipe, I made a spaghetti casserole, so easy and delicious!
Ingredients
1 Can of Traditional spaghetti sauce
1-1.5lb ground beef
2 cup package of shredded cheese (any flavor that you prefer)
Angel hair Pasta
1/2 cup of sugar
garlic salt
cook noodles like normal, cook meat, add sugar, sauce, and salt to meat. once noodles are done put in bottom of casserole dish, pour meat sauce on top, top with cheese, bake in the oven at 350 for 30 mins. Very cheap and easy meal for any day of the weak!
